In anticipation of Brunello Cucinelli’s full Spring/Summer 2012 collection, you may have noticed that we’ve been showcasing some of the best pieces on here over the past short while. The good news is that the wait is finally over, as the full collection has dropped online and will be available for purchase at fine retailers over the course of the next month. As always with a new collection comes a new lookbook, which in Cucinelli’s case usually doesn’t disappoint in terms of artistic merit and styling choices.
While the majority of the collection is rooted in solid neutral colours, like navy, white and various shades of grey and tan, there are several soft pops of colour thrown in the mix to help break up some of the more muted tones that are found relatively commonplace in all Cucinelli collections. Perhaps the most predominant colour choice in this season’s collection is a light green shade that appears in several of the “Total Looks” section online. If you’re the type who is into style forecasting, you probably are aware that various shades of light green are very on point for this spring. We like to think that Cucinelli has done an exceptional job incorporating this trend without diluting the foundation of the brand’s aesthetics.
