Experiencing Harris Tweed

Style Salvage was recently lucky enough to be invited to the Outer Hebrides of Scotland to experience where the world famous material is harvested and woven. Travelling to some of the more remote parts of the Scottish Islands at the invitation of Nike, who have crafted a new Harris Tweed sneaker, we’re treated to a close look at how the tweed is treated, woven, and made ready for production. It’s a fine look at how one of the rich materials used to craft some of our most beloved sportcoats and suits comes to us.
